Stereotype Threat Lunch & Learn Empowerment Workshop
Join CEWiT for next Lunch & Learn Empowerment Series. This series has a focus on knowledge and tools that can help you be successful in both academics and careers.
Stereotype threat is a well-researched phenomenon that can lead to lower academic or intellectual performance, is experienced by racial/ethnic minorities, women, and others, and can negatively impact mental and physical well-being. It is about the risk of confirming a negative stereotype about a social identity group to which you belong. The good news is that if you understand what it is and where it comes from, you can learn how to minimize its effect. Attend this interactive workshop where we will consider history, consequences, and learning empowering strategies to overcome stereotype threat.
Please RSVP via THIS FORM. This workshop is open to the first 40 who RSVP Lunch is included.
