CEWiT All Events IUB

Graduate Symposium

The Graduate Symposium is hosted by CEWiT Graduate Women in Technology (G-WiT), CEWiT's new Special Interest Group (SIG) centered on IU's graduate student population.

G-WiT’s Graduate Symposium offers the opportunity to hear from Graduate Students from various disciplines talk about their research and work in technology. The symposium will feature:

--Manal Alsaif (IST PhD) speaking on how online students collaborate on class projects.

--Sanchari Das (Informatics, Security PhD) presenting "How Celebrities Feed Tweeples with Personal and Promotional Tweets: Celebrity Twitter Use and Audience Engagement."

--Tiffany Roman (IST PhD) describing her design and development of Round3, a research-based peer feedback tool intended for project-based learning environments. The presentation will highlight Tiffany's experience working with local and university organizations that have supported her research and entrepreneurship efforts as a female co-founder and doctoral candidate in Instructional Systems Technology.

Come out to hear these great research presentations, meet other graduate students, and be a part of a supportive community for graduate women in technology!
