IUPUI Academic Schools

Meet, Mingle and Listen

Indiana University-Bloomington and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis are hosting 25 professionals from sub-Saharan Africa between the ages of 25 and 35 who were selected to participate in the Mandela Washington Fellowship Program which was created by President Obama to empower young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking. The Fellows have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and positive change in their organizations, institutions, communities, and countries. They will spend two weeks in Indianapolis between July 17th and July 28th.

Through the fellowship, the Fellows will receive an in depth overview of the topic of civic leadership with a focus on how business, civil society, and government work together.

This event is to facilitate an opportunity for the IUPUI and Indianapolis community to meet and interact with, learn from, and share with the Mandela Washington Fellows
