Graduate Symposium, sponsored by G-WiT
Graduate Women in Technology (G-WiT) is hosting the first Graduate Symposium of the 2017-2018 academic year on Friday, November 10th, from 10:00 AM-12:00 AM.
The following students will be presenting:
--Samantha Brunker (Astronomy, PhD Candidate) speaking about using the Hubble Space Telescope to find the distance to the dwarf galaxy Coma P.
--Sanchari Das (Informatics, Security Track, PhD Student) presenting "Does This Photo Make Me Look Good? How Posters and Outsiders Evaluate Social Media Photo Posts"
--JesAlana Stewart (Literacy, Culture, and Language Education, PhD Candidate) presenting her research on digital critical solidarity and its potential to connect victims of similar crimes against humanity.
--Christina HadleyDike (MFA Costume Technology) speaking on Electrifying an amulet for the show Peter and the Starcatcher.
