Midwestern Tales: Folksongs and Folklore

The IUPUC Speaker Series will kick off with Midwestern Tales: Folksongs and Folklore, on November 17, 2017, at the Columbus Learning Center Lecture Hall. Come celebrate Indiana’s sometimes scandalous past through tales and songs inspired by little-known facts rather than documented history, . Interspersed with music, history, fact, and comedy, Midwestern Tales: Folksongs and Folklore, will lead you on an unforgettable journey, a journey filled with suspense, honor, murder, and timeless topics relevant in today’s world. This event is sure to entertain.

Midwestern Tales: Folksongs and Folklore will feature folksongs performed by actors and singer-songwriters Tim Grimm and Jan Lucas-Grimm, and professional storytelling and interpretation by Dr. Reinhold Hill, IUPUC’s very own Vice Chancellor and Dean and a folklorist.
