DIY in the (DH) ClassroomHave you ever asked your class think about their impact on the environment by creating something from recycled material? Or passed around a 3D printed copy of Nefertiti to start a discussion about deception? What about turning their love of video games into a history lesson? Join Dr. Kimberly Martin, Ridley postdoctoral fellow in DH at the University of Guelph, as she invites instructors in the arts and humanities to join her in a hands-on workshop focusing on the role of 'making' in the classroom. A number of maker-techniques, from digital to analog and some in-between, will be available to try, and instructors are encouraged to bring lesson plans, questions, and a sense of adventure!
This workshop is hosted by the Institute for Digital Arts and Humanities as part of the Making the Arts and Humanities series with sponsorship from the IU Libraries (Wells Library Maker Cart). SIGN UP HERE: http://iub.libcal.com/event/3650023
