2018 Global Game Jam Kickoff

The Global Game Jam is an annual weekend event where people meetup to form teams and make a video game starting Friday (1/26) evening until Sunday (1/28) afternoon. Each year, a new theme is presented, and the goal of each team is to create a game inspired by the theme. At the kickoff event, we'll also introduce the free-to-use game engine, Unity, and talk about the different roles needed on game development teams - even for people with limited to no experience in game development. Stay for the evening, meet students and Bloomington game designers while getting a taste for game jams, or join a team and jam-on for the entire weekend - it's up to you! Questions? email Jess Tompkins at jetompki@indiana.edu

If you already know you’re interested in making a game after the kick-off, you can get a head start by registering at: https://globalgamejam.org/2018/jam-sites/iu-bloomington
