Student Accelerator Crash Course: 3D Printing and Design (COURSE IS FULL)
The medical industry, fashion design, engineering, culinary arts, animation, software development, education … 3D Printing is everywhere! Whether you’re focused on your personal hobbies or your future career, knowing how to create your own designs using 3D Printing will give you the cutting edge!
This workshop provides an entry-level introduction to 3D printing and design. During this workshop, participants will gain a basic understanding of 3D printing, co-create a 3D design, and connect 3D printing their personal and professional interests. In particular, the workshop aims to bring awareness to the many uses of 3D printing, and to encourage more women to utilize this new technology in related fields.
We are no longer accepting applications for this since the course is full.
Accelerator Crash Courses are designed to provide a space for IU women to acquire foundational knowledge of a technology-related topic. These highly collaborative and interactive workshops are intended to encourage further in-depth and independent learning of the subject matter.
The workshops typically occur on a Saturday and/or Sunday, and last 6+ hours. Lunch is provided at each session. Because of the popularity of the Crash Courses, and the limited seating, attendees must apply for each workshop. Our Accelerator Crash Courses are open to any IUB student, but preference is given to CEWiT affiliates.
