Bicentennial Community Engagement Celebration
In collaboration with the Indiana University Office of the Bicentennial, IU Northwest will host a Community Engagement Celebration Summit on Tuesday, April 23 with activities occurring from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at various locations within the Savannah Center.
The celebration, which is free and open to the public, is part of IU Northwest’s observance of IU’s Bicentennial, a multi-year, multi-campus program to recognize and chronicle IU history, showcase the university’s significant contributions to the world, and set a course for the next century.
For more information about the Bicentennial program, please visit https://200.iu.edu.
The celebration will offer an opportunity for a diverse range of stakeholders to come together in honor of the hard work and dedication required in the continued pursuit of collaborative, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial partnerships. The Celebration will include the presentation of the 2018-2019 Chancellor’s Awards, performances by the South Shore Dance Alliance, presentations by faculty and/or community partners, and will serve as the official launch for Collaboratory (a publicly accessible, cloud-based software for documenting community engagement activities).
The celebration is a collaboration of the IU Northwest Center for Urban and Regional Excellence, Office of the Chancellor, Office of Academic Affairs, IU Northwest Colleges and Schools, Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, as well as the IU Office of the Bicentennial and Indiana Campus Compact.
